Calendar - November 2014 month display not correct

#1

Post by rmajors »

On both our Stake Calendar (Bismarck ND) and our Bismarck Temple Calendar information that we established for Saturday November 15th is showing on the Calendar as Friday November 14th. The same is true for a meeting scheduled for the 20th, shows on the 19th, and then again scheduled for December 6th shows on December 5th.

On the December 6th calendar, if you move from the November view to the December view it shows correctly.

If you view the calendar on a Week basis it shows up correctly.

It appears other months are correct.

Welcome to the time zone bug. Daylight saving time ends on the first Sunday in November, and they have yet to solve the month view display problem. It is getting better than it used to be, however.

Thanks for the update .... sounds like it is Calendar wide for all church units, so there will be some confusion as people starting setting up and viewing calendars for a month. On a related note it is interesting that when you print the calendar it does show up correctly.

This is the same issue as Adding Events to the November 2014 Calendar. Normaly I'd merge the threads, but perhaps that title doesn't explain the problem as well.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

No, it's not that widespread. It only affects certain time zones. Other time zones work just fine.

yes, the other issue is the same, I am good with merging it. The solutions identified are the same for both 1) fix the problem as it appears to be perpetual (best) 2) Work around is to add time information rather than all day.

I changed our entries after the 2nd Sunday in November to use start and end time, now they appear properly.
