Juvenile Records

We were somehow sent the records for two minor siblings (a 13 and 12 year old), without the record of their parents (the listed head of household is the older sibling). We stopped by only to encounter a gentleman claiming to be the step dad, who "warned" us never to come back and leave the kids alone. We contacted the prior ward, but they claimed to have never heard of the children. We are unsure of what to do with the records or how to go about tracking down the parents. Any advice is appreciated.

If there is a step dad there must be a mom in the house. Or you can try and locate the Father. Its more than likely that the Father is a member of the ward where the records came from. Ether way if the youngsters are living in your ward the records should remain. Also don't discount the youth someone knows them from school and will probably have some information.

Yes I caught however that still does not mean the father is not in the ward or maybe the stake. The fathers name is on the record, assuming he is a member you can use his name and membership number to find out what ward he is in. All that's needed is to send a request through MLS email asking for the information.
