Membership records of missionaries

#1

Post by thutch97 »

I have question concerning a full-time missionary's records once they leave the ward and enter the mission field. Are we supposed to leave their records in the ward, or move them out? If we move them out, do we simply enter the name of the mission they are called to?

They remain in the ward. However, if their parents move to another ward you will generally move the missionary's record as well (and notify the missionary department of the move).

This question could of easily been answered by reviewing the Hand Books. See HB 1, 4.9.10.

There is also a "Missionary - Full Time" calling in MLS that the missionary should be assigned to. They will then show up on the ward directory under the Missionary category.
