wondering if anyone has heard any scuttlebutt about finally being able to broadcast the newsletter. one of the unintended consequences of manually emailing it is that i have received (sometimes angry) emails back from people who don't understand why i have their email addresses and even two who asked that i remove their name from church records. curious as to whether or not progress is being made, especially as i prepare a brief public affairs training on the tool.

Only a lot of wishing.

That kinda raises a red flag. Public Affairs focus is to build relations with the community, not within. (I've been down that road.) But maybe it's for activities in the community. (Helping Hands cleanup, etc.)
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

in the scope of my calling, i have only used the newsletter specifically for public affairs and for disseminating information about mhh, service opportunities, et cetera. i did receive permission to use it to broadcast information about our "mormon night" at the local ballfield, which was amazingly useful, since we could not publicize it from the pulpit.

aside from that, i was invited to speak about the newsletter tool at the training, which is area-wide with an area authority in attendance. i'm sure they'll use their shepherd's crook if i overstep my bounds! ;)
