Names of Units on CDOL and in MLS are Different

#1

Post by paullambson »

All,

Within MLS the names of units are different than the official name found on CDOL. I assume this happens because a local clerk has free handed the name of the unit at some point. I need to make the change on the unit level so all names can be uniform. For example CDOL shows a ward called "Staten Island 3rd Ward (Spanish)" yet in MLS at a stake level is shows "Staten Island Tres".

My question is how and where in MLS does the name need to be changed to show the official (CDOL) name?

Thanks for any help.

In Stake MLS:
  1. Go to System Options
  2. Click on the Unit tab
  3. Scroll down a bit to see the Wards/Branches section
  4. Click the Edit link in the upper right corner of that section
  5. Make your changes
  6. Click Save

There is a location in the same area in Ward MLS where the ward or branch should change their name, as well. I do not believe that this information flows between ward and stake.
