Brethren,
I am a stake clerk.
We are having a Disciplinary Council for a member who was previously excommunicated. The expectation is that rebaptism will be recommended to the First Presidency.
Online DC Form. The "member" no longer shows on the stake membership list. Thus, I do not have a membership number to insert to the form. May I still use the online form? Or do I need to use the "old fashioned" form that comes off of MLS?
Presumably, I use the original Membership Number?
Thank you for any and all help,
Michael Klobas

Re: Excommunication
Your stake president should get the file from the original council by contacting the confidential records department. That will give you the membership record number and everything else you need. Then you can submit the results of the new council using the online form.

Re: Excommunication
Really?
So, even though the "member" is not on the database and I cannot click on his name, I can use the online form? So, I suppose that I simply type in the number, from the original DC report.
Thank you so much.

Yes. You just will have to type everything in because there is no record available to you to use to automatically fill in parts of the form.mklobaas wrote:Really?

I am in the same situation as the OP. The records of the original council arrived recently, and they don't contain the membership record number. What next?aebrown wrote:Your stake president should get the file from the original council by contacting the confidential records department. Call the membership department, confidential records. Be sure to have his/her birthdate.
