Our Elders Quorum president voiced a very legitimate gripe about the Directory listing under Ward Organizations -> Elders. The list that is returned is not based on which brothers are assigned to his organization, but seems to be based only on the priesthood ordination status.
So, for example, it erroneously includes brothers whose ordination is Elder, but who are assigned to attend the High Priest group. And it seems to omit prospective elders assigned to the Elders Quorum.
He discovered this while trying to use the "Email all Elders" function. I can see that the problem also affects the directory listing itself.
The actual assigned organization status is obviously available in the central databases behind lds.org. because the organization lists display correctly in Clerk Resources.
I reported the issue as feedback.
'Organizations' list for quorums based on ordination instead

I believe that is because when they built that in directory we didn't have which members were assigned to which organization. That is now available, but the directory hasn't gone back and modified that part of their code.

I'd suggest submitting this as Feedback on LDS.org: https://www.lds.org/tools/feedback?lang=eng
That'll hopefully bring it to their attention.

But now I doubt that the issue is that we need to "bring it to their attention." Apparently the architects of the Directory app were aware that the data needed to support this "Ward Organizations" feature wasn't even there when the feature was released in the first place.
