Emails to the Ward

#1

Post by charlesjoseph »

I am the Waed Executive Secretary. I have a need to send emails to the whole ward. I know how to send the email blast. But I have two related questions:
1. How do I attach a Word or Excel doc or a small graphics to the email.
2. How do I bold or underline text in the email.

Thank very much

You say you "know how to send the email blast." But there is more than one way to do this. You can use the Directory and send an email to "Adults" under "Ward Organizations", or you can use the "Send a Message" feature under Clerk and Leader Resources.

If you use the Directory, then the answers to your questions are very simple, since the Directory simply uses your email program to send the email. In that case, just bold or underline text or add attachments as you normally would using your email program.

Since you're asking these questions, I'm guessing that you are using "Send a Message"; if that's the case, then the answer is that neither formatting the text nor adding attachments is supported in "Send a Message" at this time. So if those are important to you, I'd recommend that you use the Directory.
