Name Extraction no longer works

#1

Post by minerva.aguilera »

I have been doing name extractions for over 2 yrs. now. Today I got a copy rights warning and can't work anymore! It opens up to the towns and years but that's it, it won't let me see the info. What can I do to get it back??

[Moderator note: I split this post out from the New FamilySearch Web Services and DevNet Website topic, because it deals with a separate issue.]

I thought that the name extraction program was terminated quite a while ago, but perhaps someone else knows more details.

I'd recommend that you contact your stake indexing director, or the high councilor over family history work for assistance. Or you can always call Family History support at 866-406-1830.

Perhaps she's referring to FamilySearch indexing?
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

Possibly, but the "towns and years" reference sounds more like the old UDE extraction program than the current indexing software.

In any case, the support options I mentioned would still be valid for indexing.
