Adding classes to lesson schedule

#1

Post by kkanalu »

I am the Ward Website Administrator and for nearly the whole year I have been trying to figure out how to put the lesson schedules in so that the ward members can know about upcoming and current classes. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to do this and the online helps are no help at all to me. Any suggestions?

What have you done to add a class?

Here are some simple steps to create and populate a class
  • Click on Administration
  • Click on "+ Add Class"
  • Fill in the Class Name (I'll put in "Test Class")
  • Use defaults "All Year" and "2013".
  • For Priesthood or Auxiliary, choose Sunday School.
  • Ignore the "choose a class" radio buttons
  • For Manual and Lesson Material, choose "Doctrine and Covenants..."
  • Leave instructor blank
  • Press Save
  • You should see a message telling you your save was successful.
  • You should see "Test Class" on the list. Click on "View Year".
  • You'll see the initial class configuration.
There's more you can do, but just start with this and make sure it works. If it doesn't work, let us know what happens.

How can I obtain admin rights to add class? I don't know if I have admin rights.

If you have one of the standard callings listed in the help system under Rights and Roles, then you are an administrator. Otherwise, you are not, and there is no way for you to obtain admin rights (short of being given one of those specific callings).

See the Lesson Schedules Help for informtaion about the program. Rights and Rolls describes who has admin rights.
