CDOL Contact Information Email address for our stake

Our stake contact information in CDOL has an email address:

Email address: {UNIT_NUMBER}@LDSMail.net

However, when I email that email address it bounces with the error:

(reason: 550 5.2.1 The email account that you tried to reach is disabled. hh9si1598645igb.22 - gsmtp)

Question: should this email address be updated to something that works? Or better to remove it?

I don't think it is a big deal, since people looking in CDOL can see the people in the leadership positions and contact the right person directly...

I was just curious why an email address is shown if it is disabled.

I thought for sure at one point that the stake president was receiving messages sent to our unit. I didn't know things had changed.

Hmm. Our stake's email address at ldsmail.net continues to work just fine. I don't know why our experience would be different from the two previous posters, unless it was a temporary glitch that has been rectified.

I think if the stake president hasn't signed into ldsmail for a while it might get disabled. You could call LUS to see.
