Expanding use of Scripture Mastery App
I just downloaded the Scripture Mastery app, and in just a few minutes had memorized 5 scriptures. It's great. What would be most helpful would be to expand it's usefulness by developing a way to allow user input of their own materials, such as hymns, that could be memorized in the way that the scriptures are. I do not know who to get a hold of to make that suggestion, nor do I have the expertise to make that addition. If someone out there knows the people who developed the Scripture Mastery app, please pass this note on to them. Thanks.

Which scripture mastery application are you talking about? There is an official iOS one and a third party one for Android.sjenks wrote:If someone out there knows the people who developed the Scripture Mastery app, please pass this note on to them. Thanks.

Re: Expanding use of Scripture Mastery App
Note also that the curriculum for this coming seminary year has updated scripture mastery verses. Several of the verses are the same but some are different. Hopefully they update the app!

Re: Expanding use of Scripture Mastery App
I just found the same thing (scriptures not update). My daughter brought me her BofM scripture mastery list from seminary and it is a 10/2012 approved version. There are many scriptures on the list that aren't in the app and some in the app that are no longer on the official list. An update would be great!

Re: Expanding use of Scripture Mastery App
Does anyone understand what's going on with this app? Unless I'm mistaken this is the only church app not listed on https://tech.lds.org/projects. At some point I heard CES had their own tech group. Is that why we can't find it here? I'm a seminary teacher with some app writing experience. I would love to help update this app if I could find the project page.

Re: Expanding use of Scripture Mastery App
This is the project page:
https://tech.lds.org/projects?controlle ... ojectid=30
The project is marked as inactive, though – not currently being developed. I think the CES department is focusing more on making resources on the Seminary/Institute website more device-friendly instead of developing a separate app (just like the Indexing app). It's a lot easier to develop that way because it automatically works on any platform, but it's hard to do a good job and there are some functions that they probably can't build in without it being a native app...

If you happen to be using Windows Phone, I wrote a mastery program which will let you memorize any scripture you want. http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store ... 00d33cc3bf
