The first LG TV our FM installed is a 32LD452B, which does not support mp4 files on a USB flash drive. We can use laptops or the Western Digital media player that FM provided for mp4 files.
The new LG TV our FM provided is an 32LT560E, which DOES support mp4 files on USB!
On the other hand, it does not have a stereo mini-plug jack for audio input, but that's OK.
It also does not have RGB component video input jacks. Must be obsolete already.
I just can't figure out why they would provide a VGA port, but no stereo mini-plug input port. It only has an audio output for external speakers.

Re: New televisions play mp4 videos
Glad to hear these finally support MP4 directly!
From the manual it at least appears you can get there from here with a couple of extra cables. You can use the VGA connector for component video input with a cable like THIS, and audio input from a PC by using a cable like THIS. But I agree it's a bit odd not to have those connectors readily available.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

I can't figure this out from reading the user's manual. If I select "RGB-PC" as my video input, which audio jack will be used for audio input? I guess either it will have no sound, or it will accept sound from any audio input jack.
I really hate composite video jacks. I can't understand why they would include a composite video input, a VGA input, but no component video input. It seems like a poor design.
