Online CHI should annotate changes

#1

Post by atticusewig »

Recently a letter was posted regarding the
establishment of Single Adult Branches
saying that they have an upper age limit
on their members now. Anyone over that
age, should attend their regular family ward.
It said that it would change the 31 and over
line in 9.1.9 of Handbook 1.

I checked that section in in the online Handbook,
and indeed the change has been made there, so
that is good. However, there is no indication that
it was a change. No highlighted text, no brackets
saying [change as per letter dated...].

Without any change annotation, a leader could
look at the printed book and the online edition
and think that the online one is wrong (the church
websites can be buggy sometimes).

I know this is a community forum, but if a church
employee involved sees this, could you explain if such an
annotation was ruled out, or just wasn't considered
in the first place ?

This change is also reflected in Handbook 2, in the 16.1 intro.
