Getting a 1041 to change channels

I see this has been discussed in the past, but I see no resolution. Is there a way to get a 1041 to change the channel it's on? The front line GSD tells me it picks it automatically, but it's sticking to CH1 despite another AP using that channel - even after using the mode switch to do a factory reset while leaving the other one on.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

According to GSC if there is conflict, in range, the WAP will change channel automatically.
