Top Ten things members can do with an LDS Account
Our bishopric wants to create a doc that lists all the great things a member can do once they have created their LDS account. My list is small right now. Can you help by adding to it?
With an LDS Account, you will be able to:
--Have up-to-date contact information in MLS and on Ward and Stake directories
--Use lds.org's great study tools and have the ability to keep notes and bookmarks are you read
--Better manage and track family history
--Register for LDS schools and for missions
--View calendars and other information
--Receive assistance with jobs (lds.org/jobs)
--Shop in the On-Line store (store.lds.org)
--Full access to lds.org
--Receive training, tools, and information specific to your calling.
Thanks in advance,
Eric

The potential list is very long. You could look at the wiki article Church Websites and anything with "LDS Account" in the Authentication column would be a site that requires LDS Account or works better when you are signed in.
Some of the biggest items I'd add to your list would be:

- FamilySearch (is this what you meant by "better track and manage family history"?)

I think my top 3 would be Calendar, Directory and Newsletter.

Don't forget the Lesson Schedule and the ward map that will show you where everyone lives.

Sorry, but unless someone is keeping that updated, I'd consider it next to useless. (Of course the same could be said about Calendar and Lesson Schedules as well.)mfmohlma wrote:the ward map that will show you where everyone lives.

Some of us do, but you're probably right that it's not really a high-use function. Hey, at least it lets you see ward boundaries across the world.russellhltn wrote:Sorry, but unless someone is keeping that updated, I'd consider it next to useless....mfmohlma wrote:the ward map that will show you where everyone lives.

Where did you get that information? I can confirm a member with no special privileges can view the boundaries of a unit outside their home stake.kd7mha wrote:Only certain callings, most members can only see boundaries within their stakemfmohlma wrote:Hey, at least it lets you see ward boundaries across the world.

Probably from the Help filejdlessley wrote:Where did you get that information? I can confirm a member with no special privileges can view the boundaries of a unit outside their home stake.
The question is how far away are ordinary members able to see? I've seen cases in lds apps where I can see information in nearby stakes, but not halfway across the country.
