I am not able to update my phone #.
I am a member of householder xxxxx

my new # is xxxxx

Please keep in mind that this is a public forum. Most of the people here are members trying to be helpful. By in large, we don't have any special permissions to make the changes for you.

If you can't change it, I suggest going to your ward membership clerk.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Are you an adult member of the household over 18 years of age? If so, what specific steps did you take to attempt to change your phone number?

While being over 18 should allow you to change the number, I think it's disabled for any children.
