Website Admin - Rights and Roles
Okay, I am stumped. I have recently been called as a Website Administrator for my ward. The problem is that I don't seem to have any admin rights. I am properly listed on the ward website under Technology as the Website Administrator (standard calling, not a custom entry). I personally validated this in MLS. I have logged out and back in on lds.org to ensure I am logged in as me. I have even gone to https://lds.org/header to validate that I am me. Everything seems to check out. However, I have no admin options on Calendar, Newsletter, or Lesson Schedules (or anywhere else that I am aware of). Any suggestions? I had this calling a short time back in another ward so I am not new to this calling, but I am stumped this time. Any thoughts/suggestions?

How long have you had the position in MLS and CDOL? While the position may appear in the Directory within minutes, it takes hours longer, and maybe even late into the next day, to propogate through all the web sites and tools.

Correctly entered in MLS last Tuesday evening. I have reviewed the help files, Wiki, and general searches. I will also try contacting Local Unit Support to see if they are able to help.

That should have been long enough if the Send/Receive was done last Tuesday. You might ask your ward clerk to check CDOL and see if it got that far. If not, the easiest fix is to change the calling information (usually uncheck, save, and recheck the set apart flag) and force MLS to resend the information.cpalmer wrote:Correctly entered in MLS last Tuesday evening. Be sure to do the actual Send/Receive. We had someone update an item during the week but it did not get sent until someone else came in on Sunday and actually sent it. (Oops.)

Yes, that is exactly what happened. I learned that the changes were sent this morning. Thanks!

That was too easy. I am glad I thought to mention it.lajackson wrote:Be sure to do the actual Send/Receive.
The habit to do a Send/Receive in MLS should be as strong as the habit to save files while you are doing any kind of computer work.
