Family Group Record / Family Group Sheet Missing?

#1

Post by mbrinson »

Does anyone know what happened to the ability to print out a family group record or sheet? (not sure what the distinction is between the two) I've read in pretty recent documents -> https://help.familysearch.org/kb/UserGu ... ecord.html and https://familysearch.org/learn/forums/e ... hp?t=19334

The current new.familysearch.org looks nothing like the one screenshot provided, and the fabled "Parents and Children or Spouses and Children button(s)" are nowhere to be seen.

Anyone have any insight into this? I would like to be able to print all current information - ordinances with accompanying dates for me and my family.

Are you actually using http://new.familysearch.org or the new Family Tree (http://www.familysearch.org/tree). I still see the buttons and links as described when using new.familysearch.org. However, I can't find anything similar on the new Family Tree. But you'll probably get better expert help by asking in the Family Search Forums instead.

However, I do know that you can't view (or print) ordinance information for living members using familysearch. Most information is hidden for living persons, even family members. You can't even see your own ordinance information in familysearch.

To get membership and ordinance information for you, your spouse and any children living with you, you have to contact your ward clerk and ask for an Individual Ordinance Summary for each member of your household. For adult children you'd have to ask them to get the information from their ward clerk. That's the only avenue available for that information.

Sad to say, the FamilySearch Forums are closed. They're still there, but locked in "read-only" mode.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.
