graphing quarterly report information

#1

Post by guynewton »

Is there currently any way to graph quarterly report information. I guess I was hoping there was a template or something for this. A graph would provide a better, easier, picture for those concerned to view each category over time. Just saying...

Thanks

The easist way is probably to put the information into a spreadsheet and use the graphing function.

As far as I know, there's no church supplied tool for doing that. (Unless you count OpenOffice/LibreOffice as "church supplied".)
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

The Key Indicators report on the Leader and Clerk Resources site graphs most of the numbers from the quarterly report.

Unfortunately, the Key Indicators tool is only available to Bishopric members. If you want to communicate the information to the rest of the ward council, you will either have to print out the Key Indicators reports or graph them on your own.

True, but the report does have a Print button that will create a nice PDF of the graph which can be either printed for or emailed to other council members very easily.

The "Key Indicators" reporting is an excellent resource and my Bishop thought I was a genius until I showed him where I got the grapths. Now I'm reduced to just being pretty smart. :) I would suggest to the powers that be (if they are monitoring this) that it would be nice to make the graphs more friendly to black and white printers. I don't know too many wards that have a color printer. I would also suggest that the Primary attendance be added to the graphs.

Part of being brilliant is not simply knowing the information -- it is knowing where to find it when you need it. I think you still qualify.

I just posted a tool that does most of this in the reports section a couple of weeks ago. It could easily be expanded to graph the rest of the quarterly report information if needed.
