Missing Callings in MLS (since update?)

Some of the callings that were in MLS are now not there. I assume that it was because of an update to MLS and the categories being updated. For example, we had the Stake YW Camp Director with the Stake YW, but now that (and others) are gone and with it are new categories. Were they taken out?

If so, would it be most appropriate to put a calling like that in OTHER or under the "Stake YW Presidency" category (even though that calling is not part of the YW presidency)?

The callings should still be there. Only now custom callings will appear in the "Other Callings" organization. I do not know if the Stake Young Women Camp Director is a standard position or not since I do not have access to stake MLS. But from ward MLS it looks like Stake YW Camp Director would be a custom position based on the titles listed there. It is the use of "YW" instead of "Young Women" in the position title you have listed that leads me to believe the position is a custom position.

Run a Custom Positions Review to change your custom positions to standard positions. If there is a standard position, then making the change will move the position from the "Other Callings" organization into the Stake Young Women organization.

All custom positions now are grouped in the "Other Callings" organization. Others have suggested adding the capability to have custom positions appear in the organization for which they were created in other topic threads. See MLS Changes to Other Callings for a discussion on this topic.

I'm not sure if you meant to say this but it sounds like you're saying you can't have custom callings in any organization other than 'Other Callings'. That isn't correct. We have plenty of custom callings in standard organizations like Relief Society, Sunday School and Primary. What you can't have any longer are custom organizations. Any custom calling in a custom organization was moved to Other Callings during the upgrade to MLS 3.5.

I did not say that. Please reread what I posted, especially in context of what kkjonesfam posted. I never said we can't have custom callings. In the transition to MLS 3.5 custom callings were grouped in the Other Callings organization. That is why I directed kkjonesfam there. While it has been a while since the upgrade to 3.5, some people have not discovered where their custom callings had been moved following that upgrade.

I believe that MLS requested a refresh from CDOL so that they would be in sync, but those callings were not in CDOL so they were removed from MLS.

Yes, some of the callings disappeared and are not in the OTHER category - just plain gone. But, after thinking about it, it may be a blessing to have all the auxiliaries go through and scrub the list to make sure no one is left out and correct any mistakes. Ya, we may not have the calling date, but it might be good to start fresh.
