patriarchal blessing for former member

#1

Post by ajthomas »

I was out on splits with the missionaries and went to visit someone they are currently meeting with. The mother of the family was raised in the church but left the church in her late teens and had her name removed from the records a few years ago. She had her patriarchal blessing as a teenager but no longer has a copy of it. She is now interested in getting a copy of it to read it again. I know as members we can request our own through the website or the ward clerk can help get a copy, but how can someone in her position get it?

I see no reason why she wouldn't be able to get a copy of her blessing. Direct her to the Patriarchal Blessing Requests page. Yes, that page says you need to supply your membership record number, but as long as enough identifying information is given, I'm sure they can find it.
