Option for Calendar Editor to approve youth submissions?

#1

Post by brianjohns »

Is there a way to still have the option of having certain calendar submissions approved by a calendar editor?

Here's the reason: with the assistance of leaders and advisors, we want our youth to be responsible for their calendars. The youth are good at this stuff! For example, (under the Bishop's direction, as the ward Executive Secretary) I set up a calendar for each Aaronic Priesthood quorum and YW class. We would like the Deacon's Quorum President or Secretary, for example, to be able to manage their calendars online. This would be so good for them.

However, they need oversight. In this case, it would be best to have the youth's calendar submissions pass through a calendar editor for approval.

Please let me know if there's any way to do this.
Thanks!

Although you certainly can specify these youth as calendar editors, there is no mechanism for oversight. Any editor has full abilities to edit any events on that calendar.

So any oversight you set up will have to be some kind of manual process; there's nothing that can be enforced by the software at this point.
