Access Point Installation and Configuration
Our FM group recently upgraded our wireless adding a third access point and some wired connections. I notice the access points are all on channel 1 rather than being spread on the three non-overlapping channels (1, 6 and 11). What needs to be done to get this corrected or are the new Cisco AP designed to handle this issue on their own? I also noted that the AP are mounted high in the attic and one is even mounted at the roof angle which would seen to make the radiation pattern less than ideal. Any suggestions?

Re: Access Point Installation and Configuration
The wireless channel issue is one that should be handled by your stake technology specialist working with the Global Service Center.
The mounting issue would probably also be spearheaded by the STS, but in this case he would collaborate with the stake physical facilities representative to discuss the issue with the FM group.
