W5 audit forms

#1

Post by drepouille »

In the recent MLS 3.5.1, I see that the stake and ward audit forms have been updated to verion "W5" which I think is dated March2012. I just wanted to confirm that is the correct version.

Even if we use LUFAS to record the audits on the web site, I am assuming the "W5" PDF audit forms would be a good thing for us to review with our audit committee at our pre-audit meeting tomorrow night.

We are now on W6 and S6 (dated 2013). I think that's what we have in MLS, and that's definitely what is available on LUFAS. Our Assistant Area Auditor specifically mentioned that we are to use version 6 audit forms for the year-end 2012 audit cycle.

That is what I thought our AAA told us when he addressed our bishopric training meeting last October. However, when I open the audit forms in the stake MLS, I only see the W5 version. I will need to check again.

Thanks much

You can certainly go to LUFAS and choose the "Print an Audit Form" option to access the W6/S6 versions.

Early in January I downloaded the W6/S6 forms from MLS. They should be there.

The W6 and S6 forms are definitely available for download from LUFAS -- I just got them from there.
I have MLS 3.5.1_21183 on a test system for the training units, and the audit forms it displays are W5 and S5 from December 2008. MLS 3.5.1_21247 appears to have audit forms dated March 2012, but no version is listed.
That's OK, though, because we will use LUFAS anyway. Right?

We have MLS version 3.5.1_21247 and the audit forms are the W5 and S5 versions.

There's no reason to use the older MLS forms. Assuming your stake has been told to use LUFAS (I believe most if not all stakes in the US are now using LUFAS), then your auditors will fill out the forms online using LUFAS, which will use the latest forms. And if for some reason you need a paper form, you can print it from LUFAS, which will also be the latest.

Curious. We also have 3.5.1_21247, and I can confirm that we have the W6/S6 versions, dated 9/2012.

Audit forms are not downloaded as part of an MLS upgrade, so that's not that unusual. It raises the question of why drepouille would still have the W5/S5 forms, but it's not because something went wrong while installing MLS 3.5.1_21247, but rather because the download of the W6/S6 forms didn't happen properly (which it's possible should have happened before or after MLS 3.5.1 -- I don't know).
