Upload MP3 to Newsletter

#1

Post by brianjep »

Would it be possible to add the capability of uploading an MP3 file as an attachment to the Newsletter? We have recorded special firesides and even sessions of Stake Conference for our home bound members and just wondered about being able to add it to the website for ease of distribution.

You should probably use the "Do You Have Feedback about This Page?" link at the bottom of the Newsletter page to ensure the development team gets this request. While some programmers/developers frequent this forum, there is no certainty your request will be added to the list of features to be considered by posting in this forum.

Until that happens others have suggested hosting the files on another site and providing the link to that site in the Newsletter article.

I'm not sure as that would be a good idea. That "other site" would be open the to public. That raises a number of questions.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

I am new at this so forgive my ignorance of the subject. First to put it in the newsletter implies they have a computer and know how to use it. If you are concerned about them then they should have Home or Visiting teachers. Why not burn the mp3 or better a video on to a disk and have the teachers bring it to them. That way they will have a copy to review as often as they like. Were online may not be there.

Only my thoughts on this subject when I first read it.
