We have non members participating in our scout troop and YW organization. It seems very important that they be able to access the calendar if the unit is to fully utilize the web site. Parents would also like to see the events scheduled for their children.
Is there any plan to make it possible for non-members to access the calendars. If not please consider adding this capability to future releases.

Re: Non-member access to calendars
It's currently not possible, because a nonmember LDS Account can't be associated with a ward. See this post.

Re: Non-member access to calendars
None have been made known to us in the community. Such decisions are made by the brethren in council with the legal department. The forum is primarily user-to-user help. It is not an effective way to advocate for something that would require some kind of policy review. You're best chance is to ask the stake president to pass it to the area rep.mdl418 wrote:Is there any plan to make it possible for non-members to access the calendars.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

Re: Non-member access to calendars
In the meantime, you may just want to maintain a private but shared calendar in something like google calendar for the scouting events. Whoever the Scouting calendar editor is for the LDS.org Calendar could also make the change in this google calendar. Slightly more touch labor, but not too bad.russellhltn wrote:None have been made known to us in the community.mdl418 wrote:Is there any plan to make it possible for non-members to access the calendars.
