One thing I DID notice was there seems to be some problems in WHAT content was being served up. After DL'ing the first quarter's ZIP files for both AP and YW, I wanted to compare those files to the individual files available on lds.org to see if the ZIP files equated to the low, med, or high quality individual files. (Since you don't get a choice with the ZIP file.) What I found was many of the individual files were exactly the same, even though they were named differently.
For example, from the AP site, under the lesson: What do we know about the nature of the Godhead? I DL'ed the following files:
[Small] 2008-06-01-the-restoration-360p-eng.mp4 (159MB, Length: 19:12, Size: 640x360, Video rate: 1001kbs)
[Medium] 2008-06-01-the-restoration-720p-eng.mp4 (268MB, Length: 19:12, Size: 1280x720, Video rate: 1800kbs)
[Large] 2008-06-01-the-restoration-1080p-eng.mp4 (708MB, Length: 19:12, Size: 1920x1080, Video rate: 5002kbs)
However, the same video from the YW site: What do we know about the nature of the Godhead? yeilds the following files:
[Small] 2008-06-01-the-restoration-500k-eng.mp4 (213MB, Length 19:12, Size 640x360, Video rate: 1401kbs)
[Medium] 2008-06-01-the-restoration-1000k-eng.mp4 (213MB, Length 19:12, Size 640x360, Video rate: 1401kbs)
[Large] 2008-06-01-the-restoration-1300k-eng.mp4 (213MB, Length 19:12, Size 640x360, Video rate: 1401kbs)
Yes, they were all exactly the same, but encoded differently from any on the AP site.

That's as far as I got. Oh yeah, even though the files included in the ZIP had "1000k" embedded in each of the file names indicating "Medium" quality, they were mostly encoded at 640x360, representing the lowest quality.
I understand this was probably hurried a bit to meet the 2013 curriculum deadline, but now I think someone from the church needs to take a closer look at the content and fix some of the discrepancies.
