When I try to sync the GC April 2011 files (either through the podcast feed or as a normal video file) to a 3rd Generation iPod Nano I get an error saying that the video format cannot be played on the iPod. All October 2010 files could be played.
Anyone else noticing this problem. The difference in the encoding appears to be stereo audio and a higher data rate for the April 2011 GC files. The codec and associated other settings seem similar.
The reported information for the video file seems to fit within the reported specs for the iPod 3G (http://support.apple.com/kb/SP14)

What method are you using to get the video files? It sounds like you may be using the podcast. If so, which feed are you using to download the files?hintbw wrote:When I try to sync the GC April 2011 files (either through the podcast feed or as a normal video file) to a 3rd Generation iPod Nano I get an error saying that the video format cannot be played on the iPod.

I tried using both the standard and high definition feeds.

I also just downloaded the video from the following page - http://lds.org/general-conference/sessi ... 4?lang=eng. I downloaded Elder Neil L. Andersen's talk to see if downloading it from that page would work and had the same problem. The file from that page that I downloaded was the 360p file.
