My Account Consistently Shows Old Ward/Stake

I don't know if this goes here or not, but whenever I log into my LDS.org account, it shows my old Stake & Ward. I moved to Colorado from Iowa three weeks ago and while my membership records have been moved and my records have been updated to reflect my current address and phone number, it simply doesn't seem to make any changes to LDS.org and I can't find a way to change it myself. This is really frustrating as I would like to be able to use the directory for my current ward, not my old ward. Any ideas as to why LDS.org isn't updating my Ward/Stake?

Possibilities that I can think of
1. Duplicate membership record
2. The wrong Membership Record Number (MRN) is tied to your LDSAccount.
3. The membership record move information did not propagate properly through all of the church software systems.

Work with your ward clerk to verify that your membership wasn't "pulled-back" to your old ward, and that the MRN and birth date on your LDSAccount (https://ldsaccount.lds.org/membership) matches your Individual Ordinance Summary.

My wife and I are having the same issue. We moved recently and our records are in the new ward, but LDS Tools only shows our old ward directory. We’ve even confirmed that other members in our new ward are able to see our household in the ward directory but we can only see the old ward directory.

Have you sync'ed your LDS Tools application since your records were moved into your new ward? It does not sync automatically.
When you log on to LDS.org from a regular computer and go to the directory, are you showing in the correct ward there?

Same problem here. Old ward is shown on LDS.org and on LDS tools, but our record is not included in the old ward directory. Others from the new ward see our names, but we can't get things for the new ward.

Similar thing happening to my wife and I. My updated ward information shows correctly on the website, but the app doesn’t show the updated ward directory. Since our records were moved into the new ward, I have synced the app multiple times and have deleted and redownloaded the app, but still shows my old ward.

Try going to https://lds.org/header. This page shows the information recorded in the church's directory service which is used by various church online tools to determine what your ward, stake and callings are. It is a separate database from the membership database but data from the membership database is copied over whenever it changes (but this copying only happens every few hours which is why there is a delay between when a calling is recorded and when it gives rights to systems).

Look at the the line starting with policy-ldsunits. It should look something like /7uXXXXXXX/5uYYYYYYY/ where XXXXXXX is the unit number of your ward and YYYYYYY is the unit number of the stake. You can get the unit numbers from your ward clerk or by using the Meetinghouse Locator on lds.org.

If the numbers are for your old ward and stake and it's been more than 48 hours since the move was made then something went wrong with the copying. In that case, you'll need to have your ward clerk call the global service center and ask them to force an update.

Of course, since this seems to be happening to multiple people it's quite likely there is a more general problem and they may be working on it. If so, I'd expect things to update sometime early in the week once they are back at work and someone has a chance to take care of things.

We are having the same problem. The clerk moved our records, actually he verified today that he can see our records are in his ward, members in the ward can send us emails, but we still see our old ward. Interesting, when I log in and pay my tithing, it posts to our new ward and so I know our records are reading new ward, we just can't see us in our new ward.

Yep, same issue with a couple that moved into our ward as well. lds.org/header shows what is presumably the information for their old ward, but they're definitely on my lists as far as directory and things go. They come up in my LDS Tools app, but they still see their old ward, even after deleting and reinstalling the app.

Same issue here. Moved to a new ward; membership record moved with us; but we still see our old ward in lds.org. I hope the tech department solves this issue as it appears to be happening to a lot of people.
