Verification Code

Postby soheekoo710 » Tue Aug 22, 2017 6:41 pm

Our ward was doing indexing activity today and one of our young women is under 13, and she was trying to make her own LDS account. So she needed a verification code from her parents/guardians, but her mom forgot a number in her email address which made our young woman impossible to get her account verified. Is there any way that YW's mom can edit her email address for her daughter?

Thanks!

Yes. She can log onto LDS.org and go to the Directory. She should then click "My Household" in the left column. Then click the Edit button located at the top of the right column for the household. Scroll down to her daughter's name and click the "Edit" link below the daughter's current email address. Once the change has been made it should be available within a very short time in her LDS Account profile. However, there are times the change may take a while - such as on Sundays or any other time the servers are heavily loaded.

Have you tried finding your answer on the LDS.org Help Center page or the LDSTech wiki?

So it was the mom's email address that was missing a number not the daughter's. Same process?

I think what soheekoo710 is trying to say is that the verification code ended up in the old bit bucket. No code, no verification. There's been a number of posts here of others in the same situation.

I'm not sure what can be done in this situation, but I thought there was more than one way to verify. See if any of the other options are still available.

I am trying to set up an account for my son who is 12. I have tried several times and keep putting in a verification code retrieved from my email that is not working.
