Account Needs Password Reset Every Time

Every time I log into my account on any device I have to reset my account password. Some times I can't even get into my account so I have to try and find other links that might let me sign in. IE this forum login worked but directly at lds.org didn't work. It's been going on for months now.

Do you have any apps on any of your devices that are trying to sync with an old username or password? This happened to me the other day. I had a device with Gospel Library signed in to my LDS Account using an old password, and was pulling to refresh (Android Gospel Library) several times to get my annotations to update, which caused Gospel Library to keep hitting the LDS Account servers, trying to log in with the wrong password. After 10 incorrect login attempts in a row, LDS Account locks you out temporarily.

Try logging out from any apps that might be signed in with an old LDS Account password (LDS Tools, Gospel Library, LDS Media Library, etc. – it could also be Outlook or a mail/calendar app if you're an employee using LDS Account for your email), then wait a bit (I think it's a half hour, but it may be longer). After that, try logging in to LDS.org (or one of the apps) again with the most recent password you set.

I recently factory reset my device (after this started) and I've never logged in from another device I would still have. I haven't opened my LDS or Gospel Library, since the factory reset, that I can remember.

I'm not sure, then – you may need to work with your ward clerk, who can call the Global Service Center in your behalf.
