Mobile phone verification issue with google voice

My mobile phone number is through google voice, I ported it years ago. Normally I don't have issues verifying that phone number, but when trying to verify it with my lds.org account I am not getting the verification text message. I've sent multiple requests over the past two days and nothing has come through. Has any one else experienced this issue and know of a work around?

Moderator note: the phone number was removed since this is a public forum and anyone can view the post and personal information.

It's possible the "oversight" is deliberate. The whole point of the verification is to make sure "it's you" by "something you have". As I understand it, Google voice sends to multiple "things you might have". Nice for communication, not so good for authentication.

Most organizations allow it, but a few do not. Is there any way to check and see if the Church has decided not to honor those numbers?
My pharmacy (a national chain) cannot seem to send a text message to me when my prescriptions are ready and they restock them when I do not pick them up. I usually show up the next day and ask them to refill them again.
