I tried to update my information in order to get into the lds tools app. One part is re-entering my MRN. When I did this, it told me it was inaccurate or already in use. It's definitely the right number as it's on my ordinance summary. Help?

You most likely already have a different account (created for FamilySearch or another website). Use the Forgot password link at ldsaccount.lds.org and use the MRN and birthday recovery option to find out what it is.
