Duplicate username

my spouse was setting up an account and the message said an account already exists, but when we retrieved the username, it was the same as mine. How can my spouse set up a separate account with a different username.

How did you recover the username? By email or by membership number?

If you recovered by email, then you should recover by membership number instead.

If you recovered by membership number then either the membership number you're trying to use for her account is actually yours (in which case you need to get her number from the ward clerk) or her membership number is associated with your account (in which case you need to get with your membership clerk, get the correct number from him and ask him to contact the global service center about correcting the membership number on your account).
