my entire life i have always been a thompson, then my mom married my step dad whose last name is Hodges, i understand by that you would find me under the hodges household because my step father would be the head of household. what i am having trouble with for over the past year now is that i have married and do not live with my father and yet you still find me in the ward under Hodges. the ward has tried to fix this and told me to come here for help. can anyone help with this??? i have tried to edit it and it will not let me edit it off.

Since you are married, I'd assume you're in your own household and not part of your step father or mother's household.

Your clerk needs to go into MLS and correct the name in the "household" record. Last I heard, this could not be done on-line (in LCR). It's not something you can control, you have to go though your clerk. If he doesn't know how, send him over here.

In MLS there are several fields for a person's name:
– Full (legal) name
– Preferred name
– Household name

Most likely the household name field needs to be updated.
