LDS Account Membership Record Numbers

Im trying to access LDS Tools and when i add my membership number on here it days its invalid or already in use...what can i do?

The post just above yours has a couple of suggestions. Here they are:

First, double check the MRN and birth date to make sure they are correct. Note that if you're getting your MRN from your temple recommend, it's possible that it was not written down correctly.

The other distinct possibility is that you have another LDS Account that has your MRN associated with it. To check out that possibility, go to the LDS.org sign-in page, and then choose the "Forgot your username" option.

Let us know if one of those works.

I would begin by contacting the ward clerk to verify your membership record number. If you are taking it from your temple recommend, it may be incorrect.

Also note that LDS Accounts are for individuals. A couple cannot share an LDS Account and expect it to work properly, especially with regard to their calling.

I have multiple account and so i cant get a copy of my patriarchal blessing due to this because i cant use my Membership number again.

You should be able to use your existing account to get your patriarchal blessing. You don't have to create a new account to do it.

When I type in the MRN to add it to an existing account and hit save nothing happens. It won't save. What am I doing wrong?

I am trying to access my mission papers. This is the first time I created a LDS account. I wasnʻt able to access the papers using my lds account that I just created. It showed this error "In order to access the Missionary Online Recommendation System you must have both a valid LDS Account (username and password) and a “role” in the system. If you are a prospective missionary, your bishop or branch president must initialize a recommendation for you. If you are a clerk, your priesthood leader must designate you as such in the system. After you have been assigned a “role,” you should be able to log in using your LDS Account. If you continue to experience problems, please click the link Need help signing in? or contact your stake technology specialist.
You have provided an incorrect user name or password."

My sister who is a return missionary is helping me and we found out that my membership number was not attached. When we tried to update the membership number which we found on my patriarchal blessing. We double checked and the number and birthdate was correct but we got an error. The error said "Either the MRN and/or Birth Date is not valid or the account already exists."

Everything is valid and there is no other account that I created. Please help me ASAP.

The attachments showing your MRN has been removed. Please keep in mind this is a public forum, anyone can see it.

The big thing you left out - has the Bishop started the process and set you up? If you are able to log in to see your ward calendar or directory, your account is fine, the bishop hasn't set you up yet.

Now, if the problem is the account, there's two possible reasons for that message. Your MRN might not be correct. It may have been copied to your patriarchal blessing incorrectly. Or, you created a LDS Account in the past. Perhaps for youth or FamilySearch.

I'd suggest seeing if there is an existing account by using the "forgot username" option at the login screen, and then using the MRN, find out the name of that account. If you still don't remember it, you can reset the password much the same way.
