how can i merge 2 lds.org accounts

I have accidentally created 2 lds.org accounts, i won't bore you with the specifics. Is there any way that i can merge the 2 accounts. The reason i ask this is because account #1 has all my Familysearch.org research in it but when i created the account i did not have access to my MRN#. Account #2 has my MRN number but now my Familysearch.org research is a big blank. I really don't want to start all over with the research stuff. When i try to add my MRN# to account #1 it tells me there is already an account with that number. So if there is not a way to merge the 2 accounts is there a way for me to delete account #2 completely?

https://ldsaccount.lds.org/contact and filling out the form there.

You will need help from support people to fix this. I see two possible options:
- Contact FamilySearch Support (866-406-1830) and ask them to connect your FamilySearch account to your LDS Account #2; or
- Contact LDS Account Support (either by filling out the support form on ldsaccount.lds.org or by calling the Global Service Center (855-LDS-HELP)) and ask them to disconnect your MRN from Account #2 and connect it with Account #1, then have them remove Account #2.
Other people have made the same mistake. Some people think that if they have an LDS Account that is not linked to their MRN (either because they joined the Church after creating their first LDS Account, or perhaps because they created a FamilySearch Account in the past that wasn't linked to their MRN), then they just need to create a new LDS Account that is linked. That's NOT the way to fix this. Instead, they should simply sign in to ldsaccount.lds.org and add their MRN to their existing account.
