Can't log in to LDS account. It says member ID is needed.

Hi,

I have a ward member that can't log in to their lds account. It asks for their ID number and they enter this in but they get the same warning.

You have not entered your Membership Record Number and Birth Date. The online LDS Church resources you are able to access are limited without this information.

Provide MRN and Birth Date.

The photo has been deleted because it also shows the member's name, birth date, and email address. This is a public forum. It is not wise to post private information such as this at the forum.

This means that they have an LDS Account, but that LDS Account is not connected to their membership number. That means that they essentially have a nonmember account, so they won't be able to access anything specific to their ward or stake.

So they need to go to ldsaccount.lds.org, sign in, and then see over on the right hand side the text that says: "Membership Status
You have stated that you are not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Change membership status."

They should click on the "Change membership status" link and then enter their membership record number and birth date. Then they can fully use the various LDS tools on LDS.org and mobile applications.
