New policy/abilities for ordinance work?

#1

Post by chrissv »

I was at the temple yesterday and had some family file cards printed up. The person at the recommend desk mentioned that there was a new feature/policy concerning having certain ordinance work done in the "general file" vs. taking along the family file cards. For example, if you didn't want to do the baptisms yourself, you could put those names into the general file for the baptism only, and someone somewhere on any temple could do those ordinances, but you could do the other ordinances yourself with the family file card.

Does any one have a reference to the details of how to do this?

Thanks - Steven

On new.familysearch.org when you reserve the ordinances you can choose which you want to do. During that process you can choose to let the rest be done by general use.
