FamilySearch DNS attack?

#1

Post by terra100 »

Last week and now today (right now) it seems FamilySearch is under DNS attack. The FS server times out -- it doesn't open on any browser, even when caches are cleared. Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't know anything about last week, but I know that this morning there was a temporary outage on FamilySearch. It had nothing to do with a DNS (do you mean DOS?) attack, as far as I know.

A DDoS attack is one type of DNS attack and certainly could be one possibility.
