No, if you follow the link from https://familysearch.org/partneraccess to Ancestry.com, you will be able to set up an account for free.

Just to clarify, the free Ancestry is only for church members. Not everyone with a LDS Account.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
