Passcode to Reset Photocopy Machine Drum Counter

#1

Post by bam68dr »

My Librarian is looking to replace our drum since it has passed the 20,000 copies mark. He informed me that once the drum is replaced he is required to enter a passcode to reset the counter for the new drum. Where should I go to get the passcode to allow us to reset the counter?

Make? Model?

We had a xerox copier that stopped copying once the drum hit some preset limit. However, it automatically reset when it detected a new drum being inserted. You may need to contact the global service center.

I would think this is documented as part of the drum replacement instructions. I'd check the owners manual or whatever comes with the drum.
