What should be done with old copiers?

Local units cannot keep aged warranty-expired copiers owned by the Church. The policy for copiers is the same as for PCs: “Your old [copier] cannot be donated, sold or given to anyone else. It cannot be used by local units for any purpose or taken home for personal use. [Copiers] absolutely should not be disposed of in a dumpster or other waste disposal. They are considered hazardous waste and the Church can be held at significant liability for [copiers] that are improperly disposed of.” [Local units should contact their Facilities Management Group for assistance with disposal of warranty-expired copiers and multifunctional devices.]
