Incorrectly indexed records

Postby StevenTomer » Mon Jun 12, 2017 12:04 am

Many times when I have been looking through records, I have come across a value that has been incorrectly indexed. I think a feature is needed to supply the corrected information.

I agree with you, but there is no one on this forum that can do anything about that. You can probably submit feedback through familysearch.org.
I tried to complain about an major indexing error, but I only received a message saying that records are only indexed once, and they never go back to correct errors.

Computer-indexed records (like this one) have an error tab at the bottom that you can report errors through. I don't think regular records have as clear a way to report errors, though.
