Maya,
One suggestion for you would be to talk to a Family History Consultant in your ward. They can sit down with you and walk you through some of these questions. From what I see you may benefit from this approach much quicker than attempting to answer questions via the forum.

I'm sure that others will respond to you here, but in the meantime you should attempt to find someone in your ward or local family history center, whom you can talk to in person. I've listed the Family History Centers in Norway. Perhaps one of these is close to your location.

UH? FT? I don't recognize either of those acronyms. Perhaps thats what they become in your language?

I think you're talking about submissions in nFS (new FamilySearch). You should find a link in there where you can "claim" your prior submission and make changes to it.

If you click on the old submitters name which you have identified as yourself, it will open up a window like the attached image. There is a link you can click on to declare this contributor as yourself. A box will pop up where you can type in information to let the worker know that it is you. After a few weeks they will notify you that they have attached that submitter ID to your account and you will then be able to modify the entry.

What identifying information are they using? They replied that I am not me on the work I submitted on my ex's line (he was my husband at the time). I even sent a copy of a report written over a decade ago when I took a genealogy class that stated specific research and the results and had my address at the time. It's very frustrating since my children and I are interested in this, but his family is not.

You may claim any previous submission you have made and this will give you the ability to edit that submission information. When you claim a submission you need to provide enough information for the FamilySearch missionary who handles the request to be able to tell that that submission was yours. Perhaps you need to provide the address of where you lived when you made the submission. They should have a name and address of the original submitter.

If there was a way to submit all prior addresses & have them matched to submissions, that would be nice. The respondent will not tell me why, they just tell me that it's not me. Based on what? I know that it's me.

Is it possible that it's your work submitted by someone else? I've heard several tails of people who shared their work in progress with family only to find they posted it.

I would try to claim the submission again and try to give more details around when and where you submitted it, you will likely get a different missionary reviewing the request.

If this is the case you should get some clue by the name listed for the submitter, you can usually tell who the person is if it is someone you know.
