newFamilySearch Version .94 now available

I just noticed that Version .94 of the newFamilySearch has been released.
(This is the Aug 2008 release, a little late but now available)

It offers better separation tools allowing you to separate multiple records at one time and allows you to list up to 100 combined records on a single page. There are a few other minor changes like the ability to edit your preferred name and some wording changes in the Temple reservation screens. Check out this list of new features release notes.

The release notes also talk about the new API tools that allow third party compaines to interface with newFamilySearch. Ancestral Quest 12.1 PAF add on is now in phased release and it will sync with nFS. See their announcement at FHCNET.

newFamilySearch is not available in all areas yet.

new.familysearch.org is the location of the new FamilyTree program which includes all of the Church Temple records and many of the Church databases all combined together in one place. Duplicate submissions are combined into folders and folders are linked into family trees. Clearing names for the Temple takes place in this new application through the online Temple Ready function built into FamilyTree.

A newer version of the newFamilySearch FamilyTree is under development at FamilySearch Labs and will be added to FamilySearch at some point in a general release.
