Hopefully this will be resolved soon, but some comments.

Seems like there is no way for HQ teams to manually update the database to add 'exceptions' to the categories. Or am I still misunderstanding things.

For example, I use K9, where I can create exception lists to always allow or always block individual sites or even pages within a site based solely on the URL, and can simply log in and do it within seconds and the change is applied. In fact, part of the advertising for the corporate/enterprise filtering solutions indicates that this is a benefit for the user of that product, and actually they encourage it since it helps in managing the corporate or enterprise network better, and helps cut down on costs in the end.

My city library used Websense, but apparently it was not doing the job, so they flipped to Fortinet, and it seems to be working better for them, although even Fortinet screwed up once in rating an unofficial LDS site I had to use there one day, and inadvertently rated it 'pornography', they checked the site and verified the content was not porn, and fixed that in seconds over the phone when I called Fortinet,
