I can no longer access GMail from the church computer. Has it been blocked? It's been working up until a week or so ago.

It's kind of prohibitive as I am using email to send welcome emails with instructions on how to access our ward website to new members.

We have had others report in other threads similar issues. Since you did not mention the firewall filter level you have I am going to assume it probably is LDS Extended Access. You should contact your stake technology specialist to resolve the issue. He will have more information about local restrictions as well as the firewall filter level. The filter level may have been changed or the WebSense (web filtering service) filtering category for the website may have changed. To get access to the website back may require changing the filtering level to General Access. This is a decision your stake president will make in counsel with the STS .

When Gmail quits for me, a restart of the computer usually fixes the problem. I don't know why.

Gmail requires that it be allowed to complete the logon process before you exit. If you logon and then don't see any messages, then quickly exit you often receive an error message. This occurs primarily with FireFox. The only way to clear the error so that you can get back into Gmail properly, is to close the browser, then try again.

It might be a FireFox thing. I do that all the time in IE. I even get the error message when I quickly exit. But I've never had a problem getting back in.
