Sounds nice. If it's anything like my experience, your cable data rates won't have near the fluctuation that your DSL had.

Yeah even with the newer C881s that are slated for 2017, the 10/100 switches will limit <100Mbps throughput, unless those are scheduled for replacement too.

It sure is. As a sound rule, the available BW for uploading needs to be 2x the upload data rate, so with 5M available, you should be able to support up to a 2.5M upload, assuming you were the only user at the time. (Translation: the WiFi is turned off.)
